What you should know about Geckos Early Learning Centre
We are a family owned and operated centre who is committed to the care and education of young children in a safe and caring environment. We aim to provide a home away from home environment where children are respected as individuals and learn at their own pace. Our experience in both Primary and Early Childhood Education gives us a good knowledge of what makes quality care and education happen for young children. Be responsive to our children’s needs and create a sense of belonging for everybody.
Respect children for their uniqueness and empower them to take risks, persevere and succeed in their own way. Support children to actively explore open ended and challenging provocations independently and with others in our learning community
20 EC hours is available for six hours per day to a highest of 20 hours per week. We encourage children to form friendships and be curious about the world in a community of learners. Qualifications Bachelor of Education Primary Teaching Graduate Diploma of Teaching Premature Childhood Education. The minimum enrollment is two days per week, a policy that we believe supports children to build meaningful relationships with teachers and one another.

My daughter blossomed during her time there and really developed socially as healthy as academically. We bring out the unique magic and abilities of each individual child and their whanau through responsive relationships. We reach together at our morning meetings to build our community and celebrate with one another.
My daughter attended Geckos in 2014 and she absolutely loved it! Sue and her team are passionate educators and are perpetual creating outstanding opportunities to enhance the children s experiences and learning. Qualifications Bachelor of Education Primary Teaching Graduate Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood Education. We feel that this creates opportunities for children to learn and grow independence, social skills, their understandings of the world around them, important dispositions ready for school, and a love of learning!. Our environment and teaching supports all the learning and play that happens as young children.
Each center has small numbers within a 'home away from home' setting and are committed to providing you and your child with the very best hasty childhood education. I everlasting found the staff to be very respectful and encouraging of all the children that attended, and genuinely had mirth with them. Qualifications Bachelor of Arts Literature Graduate Diploma of Teaching Hasty Childhood Education. Cherie heads home to her horses to relax after a busy day playing with our tamariki!
